Christian Brun is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Wellesley Partners. He is based in Singapore but also splits his time between London and Hong Kong. Christian was a founding Partner of Wellesley Partners, and has worked on numerous senior level executive search appointments across every jurisdiction in Asia-Pacific and Europe across both the Financial Services and Technology sectors; he also leads the Corporate & Investment Banking Practice.

Christian relocated to Hong Kong from London to launch our Asia business in 2005. Prior to founding Wellesley Partners in 2004, he was a Principal at Heidrick & Struggles, the global executive search firm, based in London, where he focused on Investment Banking. He started his search career at Whitehead Mann in 1997, before joining The Consulting Group, a London-based boutique search firm, which was subsequently acquired by TMP. Christian has an MA in History and an M.Phil. in International Relations from Cambridge University, where he was awarded a College History Scholarship.

Loretta Chan is the Managing Partner and Co-Head of Global Banking & Markets of Wellesley Partners, piloting banking & fintech businesses in Asia Pacific. She comes with 15+ years of industry experience and specializes in placing senior-level candidates including C-suite executives across Global Markets, DCM, Private Financing and Corporate Banking. She has a strong track record of completing front office searches across sales, trading, quant, structuring, research, origination business development and relationship managers. In addition to front office search, she also leads specialist recruitment for corporate governance functions (risk, legal, compliance) with proven ability to provide front-to-back talent searches across all-levels.

During the beginning of her search career, she was with Pelham International specializing in Fixed Income/Equity Derivatives. She then joined Robertson Smart as a consultant covering Legal and Fixed Income. Prior to joining Wellesley Partners in 2007, she ran the Hong Kong office of Webbe International, heading the Financial Markets business for Asia. Loretta holds an LLB (Hons) and began her career with Sullivan & Cromwell. She is native in English and Cantonese, and is conversant in Mandarin.

Oliver Read is a Partner of Wellesley Partners and Head of Hedge Funds practice, he also Co-leads the Global Banking and Markets sector. Residing in Hong Kong, Oliver actively works across the breadth of Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

With twenty plus years of experience in executive search, Oliver was previously a Partner at two leading globally listed Search firms, where he was latterly Head of Hong Kong and a member of the Global Financial Services practice. Oliver began his working career in the information services industry, relocating to Hong Kong in 2004. With a proven track record; Oliver is well known as an authority in the APAC financial services search market. Successfully completing assignments for global investment banks, hedge funds, proprietary desks and alternative investment clients. Oliver graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from ARU and holds an Advanced Certificate in Executive Search and Leadership Consulting from Cornell University, ILR School.

Raahil Chhatpar is a Director at Wellesley Partners, specialising in executive search for hedge fund platforms and global markets. Raahil has been an executive recruiter since 2010.

Prior to joining Wellesley Partners in 2024, he worked at Odin Partners and Options Group, focusing on diverse areas across both sell-side and buy-side recruitment. Originally from Hong Kong, Raahil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from King’s College London and is fluent in English, with conversational proficiency in Hindi.

Janice Yuen is a Director based in Hong Kong, specializing in equities and hedge funds across the Asia-Pacific region. She plays a key role in driving research, talent mapping, and mandate execution, partnering with leading financial institutions to deliver strategic hiring solutions and market insight.

Prior to this, Janice served as a Director covering equities and hedge funds at Options Group Hong Kong. She brings extensive experience across both sell-side and buy-side recruitment, with a strong track record in leading searches in equity sales, research and trading, as well as mid to senior level investment professionals (Analyst and PMs). Janice holds an MSc in International Management and a BA (Hons) in Business and Management from the University of Exeter, UK. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Sourabh Chattopadhyay is the Managing Partner with Wellesley Partners and leads the firms India business. He is a generalist with broad success across alternative investments, investment banking, private equity portfolio companies, and professional services.

Prior to joining Wellesley Partners, Sourabh headed Options Group’s executive search and strategic consulting practice in India. Sourabh has also been an entrepreneur and worked in institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Ernst and Young, and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.  Sourabh is an active angel investor and an LP in a few early-stage funds.  He is also an advisor to several startups.  Sourabh is on the board of Khela Ghar, an NGO based out of Calcutta, and a founding trustee of Daya Foundation. He holds a BBA in Economics from Pace University in New York.

Ivo Ricardo is a Managing Director at Wellesley Partners, based in our Tokyo office. He helps lead the firm’s Japan business focused on searches for global and domestic financial institutions across Asset Management, Hedge Funds, and Securities. Since 2014, Ivo has built a strong track record placing senior leadership in banks and funds in Japan.

Before joining Wellesley Partners, he established and led the financial services practice at a leading Japanese search boutique. Prior to moving into executive search and moving to Japan, Ivo worked in M&A advisory in Europe, where he executed cross border transactions. Ivo holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and is a graduate of SOAS, University of London, and Waseda University in Tokyo. He is conversant in Japanese.
